I have to admit that was a new one to me. I’d hear of Pave style rings, but never heard the word applied to flowers, but as a phrase, pave bouquets makes sense. Many modern style arrangements consist of flowers with very short stems placed in foam, designed to look like a continuous surface of flowers.
The style has become very popular, probably because it is easy to do, but while you see it often in floral arrangements, it’s not a style you often see in bouquets, largely because it requires a reasonable surface area to be effective.
That’s no longer a problem. The awfully nice people at Smither Oasis have launched some brand new bouquet holders with a much larger surface area, and while these are a little heavy, they’re ideal for these new style bouquets.
Here’s a video from the Idea Channel which shows these new European Bouquet holders and what you can do with them. One thing you may want to note – as Kevin says in the video, he made the bouquet three days before!
